All officials and news coverage has talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste. None clarifed to say the unused visas expire on 09/30 NOT 06/30.

This "me vs you" attitude is what is unhealthy. Having PD of June 2002 is nothing to be happy about, either for EB3-I or ROW. It is just pathetic. We should all be together in this. Asking for more visa numbers, recapture, etc would be more practical for us

EB-3 india is not yet completely out of 245(i) mess. If you remember the last month's priority date was 22Apr 2001. Now in Jan priority date is 08May2001. 245(i) ended on Apr30th 2001. So this month's progress still includes 8 days of 245(i). I would imagine that more cases were filed from Apr 22 - Apr 30 as this was the last week. So its still a long way to go before EB3 is completely out of 245(i).

A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D

You should do following for Advanced Parole related appointment if you are arranging the first appointment.

-Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.
I don't have any update on AP .
Should I still select the below mentioned option ?

Current does not mean beyond your PD. There is no mention of PD's being current anytime soon.
What I mean is the analysis is too optimistic for EB2 China/India, which is hard for me to believe.

The bill goes no where after the hearings unless there are enough co-sponsors and CHC members are ok with the bills. Then the house speaker will decide to let the bills be debated and voted on the house floor. If it goes through House then Senate will vote on it and then the Prez signs it off.
So the most important thing is to participate in the phone campaign esp the one targeting CHC members.

Will post if we got 1 or 2 yr duration EADs just as soon as I get the cards in hand.

Lets say there are around 1000 consulting firms it the worst case there may be around 1500 firms which have a capacity to apply 15 H1B each.
still the number would come around 15000 to 30000 but the big 4 companies in India got 20,000 H1B last year, which means they might have applied around 45000 to 55,000 applications
my numbers may be bit off but i think Big 4 companies from India are doing more damage then consulting firms in US.

go easy on him/her!! they are doing whatever they can LEGALLY to get their GC. If the practice is unfair, blame the people who put this into place.
what is right and what is wrong is very difficult to decide without being aware of the context?
as far as ethics are concerned, we are in business here. there is LEGAL and ILLEGAL. everything else IMHO is hogwash.

Hi Shana,
Just came home from work and logged back. My scenario:
- I have my H1 until Sep'09.
- If i change the employer will i get an extension for 3yrs based on the approved 140?
- Do i need to file 140 again with the new employer?

If I 140 approved then you get 3 yrs extention. And if 485 filed then 6 yrs - (minus) remaning time.
If 485 filed and in 6th year then 1 yr extension hear after.
