Too bad the person stung by the 2 hornets didn't already have his iPhone 4. I'm almost certain that the new iPhone would contain some kind of antidote that would have been very helpful. I guess we will all just have to wait for Thursday!
Is everyone with an iPhone going to download iOS 4 tom and test I out or are you guys going to wait for Thursday?
I am going to wait until Wednesday night or Thursday. As soon as the new phone is in my hand, I am going to ship my 3g to the new owner (they did not want the new software on the phone)
So, I will back up my stuff on the phone, erase all my stuff on it and have it ready for the new owner. Then I will download the new software

Being as powerful as a card from 2 years ago and being to years old is something different. The 6970 is from this year not from 2 years ago. However you may be right with the performance.

It's equivalent to a 2 year old card. If you buy a top end desktop card today, it will last you 2 more years for sure, but the iMac has a 2 year old card already.
It's not a big deal to me because I know Diablo 3 will screen on a 6970M and there isn't really that much worth getting excited about. Worst thing is that in 2 years, you'll have to run at 2x AA instead of 8x AA or turn down the resolution.

Someone was asking about scanner reviews - not too much that's current out there. Many reviews date from the late 90's!! I guess the push to digital cameras killed most of the market.

Hard to get a good scan, as it's dynamic range was pretty bad. My second generation was a Polaroid Sprintscan from 1998. Much better, but single feed and still spotty with complicated slides. I bought the Nikon 4000 in 2003 and have been VERY happy with its performance.

Question is in the title. Any thoughts? I know there was an Apple computer that sold for quite a bit a few weeks ago, but I'm sure it was way older. It's in perfect condition and I even have an old Apple printer for it (which works as well). Thanks. :apple:

I doubt that the iPad 2 will ship with 4.2.1 Just because the GM was released to developers today doesn't mean that apple hasn't been sitting on it for a week or two.

Is there a way I can use my CRT iMac to boot off of my G4? It runs 8.6 and I wanted to see how it runs 10.2.
I have the install DVD, but it wont work in the iMac since it has a CD drive. If someone can tell me how to install it without ripping everything apart and switching drives that would be appreciated.

Hi, I want to put some CD's that I purchased on my iTunes to put on my iPod. The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?

If you have an external hard drive just move the files from one computer to another, it's pretty easy if you do it that way. i have a dell st2410 monitor. and it only shows at 1600x900 resolution while my mbp 15 (2011 i7 2.0) shows at 1680x1050.
am i missing something here? i have mirroring off. i bought the monitor knowing that it supports 1920x1080 resolution.
im also using the hdmi connector whiile using a belkin mini displayport to hdmi adapter.

So apple decided to give me a crappy hard drive that died outside of my warranty. i am now trying to replace it. i'm following the guide at pbfixit.com for replacing the battery. however there's a "clip" apparently that is holding the right hand side of the case together and i see absolutely no way to unclip it. any help would be appreciated. i've been working on it for about 2 hours and i've had about enough and i'm ready to sell the pile of crap and buy a PC. apple gets "crappy design award of the year" for not making their hardware servicable that's for sure. and no, i'm not paying apple @$$loads of money for them to fix what should be simple for anyone to do.

Keep an eye peeled for a REV A iBook G4 they are good value on ebay and will cover all of your criteria, they come in 800mhz and 933mhz versions and there HD's came at 30gb and 40gb unless they were BTO...

Oooh, I think I remember that vaguely...But four channels was the best. You had to use up two channels at a time to actually get the sound out of both speakers. But some of the music was *amazing*... Ahhh, good old 8-bit Ensoniq guts. :)

Neither position is right or wrong at the point. The head researcher with the WMO says that studies still need to be conducted, however it would also seem that in the past there have been some strong storms may it be snow, wind, rain far few than at present.
As stated it is only going to get worse till the balance is regained. Its not going to escalate and continue on that path its going to subside. When that will happen no one knows yes, as we do not know the peek yet.
Much is to be seen. :)
