Hi Guys,
I am not sure if this is the trend everywhere only in TX. The DPS - Department of public Safety which is issuing Driving License started asking for the Employment Verification or latest Pay Slip. I asked the officer if its the new requirement and she replied Yes, its started recently. If you are in H1 or H4 visa, you need to prove that you are still in job and getting paid. One more nail in the coffin.

My younger brother just entred US last OCT , If you live in Dallas you can go to any DMV rules are different in different counties my bro went to Denton county and no questions asked matter of fact he got a 6yrs valid DL (technically he should be getting it until his H1B is valid ) . I would say either go to Carrollton or Denton county DMV.

I think this law puts an enormous burden on us to prove we are here legally. If for any reason we are stopped for speeding, the law allows the cop to ask us to prove we are here legally. technically, he is supposed to verify this with USCIS, but we know how efficient they are! Also the average cop probably has no idea what EAD/ Adjustment of status etc etc are and this can land us into trouble, atleast until we prove that we are here legally!.
Not only is legislative reform for legal immigrants held hostage by illegals and their lobbies, but actions directed against them are likely to entrap some of us into trouble with the law.

I have my TX license till 06-2013. With the new rules, I heard that DMV's in Dallas are issuing vertical cards which has an expiration date of EAD/H1b expiry date. I recently moved to a new apartment. When i try to change the address online it is asking me to go the nearest DMV. I dont want to loose my current license which has expiry till 2013. Is it OK if i dont change my new address on my drivers license or is there a way to get my new card with the old expiration date. my current EAD expires on 10/2009.

There is no reason for you to pull out your 485. Get your divorce expedited and get married quickly and you should be OK as EB3 India is not really moving forward unless there is a visa recapture or something like that.
Your spouse will of course lose her 485 and will have to start afresh. But I assume she already knows this and is OK with that.

It is correct that a MBA will prepare one for mutiple fields, however the question being asked is specific for IT professionals who are trying to jump into management.
I believe the confusion is there between MBA and PMP, because some of the folks are at a juncture where they want to make a quick buck and are also thinking of career advancement.
Yes for a quick buck you can get a PMP and move up the ladder, but for long term sustainance you need MBA for senior management posts.

As per the data, so far people with notice date (on 485) before sept 1st have got their FP notices (except few people). So, I presume if someone's case transfered back to NSC from CSC before spet 1 st, he or she should expect their FP notice soon.
Obviously, we are not going get our notices if there several people lined up with notice dates before our transfer dates.
This is just my logical conclusion, may be incorrect

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

My wife's EAD card was delayed beyond 90 days. I called USCIS 3 times and they did the service request, but told us we would have to wait 45 more days. At the 96 day mark, I quickly filled out requests for my senators office to get involved and they helped out. EAD was in mail the next week.

That may be but do you actually think this practice is fair and should be legal. To me and hundreds of thousands of other folks who are patiently waiting in line, it is fraud because you are cutting in line. The sad part is we see that you are cutting in line but we can't do s**t about it just because it's legal.

It was filed @ NSC on July 2nd, ---> CSC -----> NSC. I got my LUd on 09/21 last on our 485.
