Gurus,
There seem to be a positive and negative news this year for EB2s. On the one hand, USCIS surprisingly allocated all their visas last year and that means that EB2 will not receive the (20k/3) visas that they received last year.
On the other hand because of the bad economy, one would expect that the companies will not be hiring as much EB1s and ROW EB2s as last year plus the DOL is expected to make Labor Certs very strict plus there are postings that software jobs wont make it to EB2.
I would appreciate it if the number crunching gurus can throw any light on how the rest of this fiscal is gonna be like for EB2s.

Why would anyone want to go 2 steps behind when already on last stage of getting GC. Won't it be like giving an 10th class exam again when you are already graduate and about to receive an job ?
Can PERM Labor be filed by an employer for a dependent who is in AOS?
Dependent has EAD and working.

I tried to find answers in other forums but didn't find any.

Doing a AR11/Change of address, do I include all these as additional applications
1. MTR number
2. Appeal number
3. Original 485 (denied) for primary applicant
4. Original 485 (denied) for spouse
5. Denied 140 number
or just these

Also, i have a pending date-error request with my H1B and H4 extensions, do i include the H1B and H4 numbers as well.

You message is not clear. Are you saying he cannot work without getting a new H1. If he needs to get a new H1, then he needs to go out of the country for more than a year and come back later with a new H1.
I beleive, he can do H1 transfer. By the way, the new company should also start your labor and I140. Still you can port your PD if you have already 140 approved.
There is nothing tricky, it is plain and simple: you want to switch jobs?
You have to apply for a new H1. You absolutely cannot use your current H1 to work any other job.

Washington DC has declared Sept 18 as car-free day encouraging commuters to leave car at home. For details see link below:

This suggests that on Tuesday car traffic in DC area may be less than normal, and public parking may be relatively easier to find. Normal daily parking is $12 to $16 within 1/2 mile of Washington Monument (familiar vertical landmark). Never-the-less, if possible, Metro rail is the hassle-free choice.

Before starting the application process for permanent immigration, foreign nationals who enter the United States on non-immigrant visas (NIV) are considered to be here temporarily. The law presumes NIV holders intend to return to their home countries at the end of their stay in the United States. There are many NIV categories — student visas, business visas, visas for tourism, and investor treaty visas to name a few. It looks like you are getting glare from glass or something. Get as close to the glass as you can and the lens as perpendicular as possible. A dark cloth and duct tape to put it up with would get you two things: (1) ability to block glare from lights behind you and (2) hide you from the birds so they settle down.
I've actually put the camera on a tripod and draped a large towel over it and my head/torso for camoflage, which let me stand outdoors and get closer without scaring them away. But I don't do that much because it's really tiring standing there, motionless :)
For the most part, a flash doesn't seem to bother birds much and it's a great help - you get better contrast and a faster shutter.

I have stamped from Canada 3 times before. without any issue.
I do not know the situation today. If you have all the required documents ready
and You attorney has sent a copy of your H1 extension to PIMS office at Kentucky
(For all extension petition this is required) You can stamp at Canadian US consulate
without much issues. If PIMS is not updated then you have to be ready to stay at Canada
for 1 to 3 months. so be careful before taking decisions, especially nowadays.This is my understanding.
Same thing at Indian consulates. I

You should just provide a valid reason for your case for the senator to help. All senators have direct lines to immigration offices. They can expedite your case and the results are astonishing.
My cousin left to india for an emergency and his AP was pending. Contacted senator and got it approved immediately in a day.
I also heard that one person got his 140 approved in a week. Not sure what reason he provided.
But senators are certainly helpful unlike Indian politicians.

While this is true, it is worth understanding/appreciating the fact that most of these articles are aimed towards increasing H1 quota and not necessarily improving EB retrogression.
We should be a little careful which articles we use.

I got an RFE (first time) for my 485 and my lawyer responded (sent it through post) on August, 9th, 2010. I am wondering, how long USCIS takes to update the status online? I just want to make sure USCIS received my RFE, that�s all I care.

My employer has job posting Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience but does not say anything about Masters Degree. Wanted to know this job requirement fall under EB2 or EB3?. appreciate for the response.
The advt is very sensitive. My friend lost his eb2 chance because of that.
its MS or Bachelor's degree with PROGRESSIVE experience.
Did you got it screended with your/company attorney about the advt description
