    Please give us more details , don't mention color of the receipts(one is Visa appointment fees and second Visa issuance fee )

    as far I remember , the receipt used to get visa appointment should match with what you you submit at consulate. If you have lost it then u need to get another DD and book/if possible edit the appointment deatils

    But if you have lost Visa issuance fees , u don't have to modify ur appointment details but sure you need to get another DD

    my wife still needs to go for VISA, HDFC gives 2 receipts.. 1 which we have to submit(yellow), I have that .. .the other 1 that we have to show at the time of interview.. (pink) I have a copy of tht (stamped by HDFC)..

    this is just me, i would not go anywhere other than fidelity or vanguard..research more in the internet.

    i am switching employers and i have about 10k in my 401k with current employer. my next employer does not have the option to start 401k until after one year of service.i am looking for options to rollover my 401k to a IRA in a company. does anyone have any recommendations?thanks in advance

    Folks please advise on using POJ method. I tried calling using the instructions below however I always get to customer service instead of NSC where I intend to connect. Am I missing something here ?

    Press 1 to select English

    Press 1

    I am July 2 filer with Nov 2005 PD EB2-I. Even though I'm happy for others It is indeed frustrating to see my case languish like this. No updates at all. CSR just tells me to wait and wait forever. Opened an SR but nothing happened yet. Very very demoralizing....

    My case was file in jan 02. I have approved labour and I-140. I filed my I-485 in Jun 2005 and have an EAD and parole. How do I find when can I file my spouse's case.

    Hi:

    Me and my husband left US on AP, which is valid until nxt year. We both were working on valid H1's until we left. We dont want to go for stamping and will use AP on our arrival at the POE. We havent applied for EAD when we left. Is it Ok for us to apply for EAD once we are back in US or is it ok to apply for H1's again once we r back. In both cases whether we go for h1 or EAD, can we start wroking rt a way or do we need approval first.

    They don't update the online status often..some time years ..i talked to IO regarding this issue..they said, they don't have enough resources ...I also suggested to make them the "Online Status Check" to "Offline Status Check " ..No worry..Lets all take oath, not to check this online...I don't do it..

    USCIS record shows my entry year 2003 but actual year is 2005, so they came back saying 6 years is complete. Lawyer provided all the documents to prove I am here only from 2005...

    I am a UK citizen brought up in India. I am in US now working on H1-B. Since I plan to return to India after few years for good, I decided to apply for OCI(overseas citizens of India)/dual citizenship of India.

    I will have to apply for green card after few years to maintain my employee status here in USA.

    Now, the question is, will I get privilege if I am UK citizen compared to dual citizen of India when I apply for US green card?
    If I get any privilege(like quicker processing time, etc) I will just get a visitor's visa/PIO card of India for now.

    Please advice. I am really confused. Thank you.

    My friend has a GC since Sep 2004. He recently went to India and married a person who has a stamped F-1 Visa though she has not entered the USA yet. They are planning to enter US this month. Is this legal? What should they be worried about and what are my friend's options if he wants to settle down with his wife in the USA. Will there be an complications if he applies for her GC or should he rather wait till he gets his Citizenship. Any comments would be appreciated

    What is the minimum requirement for EB2? From what I read, it's BS+5yrs, or MS+1yr.

    EB2, officially known as "members of a profession holding advanced degree", requires a "Masters degree". USCIS views a BS+5 as equivalent to a masters degree for this purpose.

    1. Is there a rule that the experience should have been gained outside of the US?
    No

    2. Is there a rule that the number of years experience should be from an employer other than the petitioning employer?
    Yes

    "I would like to hear your professional opinion on the following issue: I have been on F-1 visa for 7 consecutive years. I have an employer that has sponsored me as a Graphic Designer. In fact I have obtained the I-140 through him already. I recently applied for employment AOS (July 25th) with my wife (She is on F2 visa) and I'm currently waiting on the Notice Receipt. School starts on August 20th and I'm hesitant on when exactly the new Immigrant Status starts. Do I still need to enroll for classes in order to maintain my visa? I don't intend to finish school due to financial difficulties, when exactly may I drop out from school? Should I remain enrolled up until I receive the EAD and AP? Thanks in advance for your response."
