In November 2010, USCIS transferred approximately 36,000 Immediate
Relative petitions from�our California Service Center to our Texas
Service Center. We anticipated that this redistribution�of work would
result in more timely adjudication of these petitions. Due to a number
of�unforeseen circumstances at our Texas Service Center, many of these
cases have not been�processed and are beyond our estimated processing
times. We sincerely regret any inconvenience�this may have caused you
and we are making every effort to remedy this situation as soon as
possible.
On Feb. 7, 2011, we implemented a rapid response plan to expedite the
adjudication of these�petitions. We have transferred a large number of
these Immediate Relative petitions back to our�California Service
Center to take advantage of resources currently available to
immediately�process these cases. Petitioners will see an action such
as an approval, denial or a Request for�Evidence (RFE) on their case
from our California or Texas Service Centers by the end of�February.
Additionally, we have briefed the Department of State’s National Visa
Center about�these cases.
We encourage you to monitor the progress of your case by accessing My
Case Status online. If�you do not see any action on your case, such as
an approval, denial or an RFE, by March 1, 2011�you may contact USCIS

Hello Everyone,
We are currently evaluating our options of starting a business on EAD, which should be coming within 3 months of filing of I485 in July. Does anyone know if I or my wife can start a business on EAD, are there any issues with it?

I also asked my company lawyer and they are suggesting that since her status is H4 she can not work. For working on EAD she has to leave country and reenter on AP.
So a little confused here?
That is not true. If she has her own EAD, she can start working anytime. Whenever she does that, she will automatically abandon H4 and her status will automatically become AOS.

Hi, I have a question.
1. My colleague crossed 2 years after filing 485. Frustrated with GC processes, he is switching company for better career prospects. He is using his EAD and invoking AC21. Is it possible for me to use his labor? If no, why?

I have
EB3 140 approved for June 2004
and
EB2 140 approved for May 2006
My lawyer said that they will file a petiton to apply my EB2 status to my EB3 dates as soon as dates for EB2 cross June 2004
But now, In this August VB , My EB2 became current .
What I did not anticipate was the huge 2 year+ jump in EB2 dates
My 485 was filed in July 2007 and shows the status pending since then.
I asked my lawyer which 140 did he use to apply my 485 and he says "Both"
I am confused with a couple of things
1. Is it possible to file 485 by sending in both 140s. I asked the lawyer and he said that NOW since the date has jumped more than 2 years it is not advisable to file petiton to move dates .:confused:
2. If I call USCIS , will they be able to tell me which 140 was used to file my 485:confused:

While filling the I-94 arrival record, My Friend did not give his last name at all . There was only two fields he filled 1. Given/First Name & 2. Date of Birth only.
So the I-94 record does not have his Family (Last) Name.
Is there any other center available so that he can give his last name for I-94 or he has to file the form I-102 (the disadvantage for filing the form is he has to send the original I-94 along with $320)

I was recently invited by a fellow worker, who is spanish ( I am desi ) - to an event organized by CHIRLA - the Los angeles (http://www.chirla.org/) - Colation of Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles. It was a fund raiser - with Fun, a few bigwigs were also present and people were paying $100/person to enter. Although this was a glitzy function with girls in gowns and guys dressed up in party wear..with drinks and lights etc..the gathering was all spanish, and there were many families as well as lot of college kind / working youth were there...
This gave me an idea about IV and how IV is now a known organization, both within the immigrant community and now also in the USCIS as well as with lawmakers and AILA, how about organizing a fund raiser in DC - invite AILA, maybe Rajiv Khanna and maybe someone from the CIS community. It can be a good platform both for IV to make an impact as well as generating funds and interest in what IV is doing.
Maybe have these people spend 10 minutes each on the stage, with some good grub (sponsors can be approached) and maybe light drinks (not sure) - but all in all a nice atmosphere and a forum to help us not fight with USCIS but to make them understand and appreciate our pain.
I know we have done this in college and all, but a 10 minute short play by the Immigrant community (DESIS) - should be fun as well as an eye opener to these guys..
Guys, don't shoot me down..its just my humble suggestion, however if you guys think differently I am fine with it. I just expressed what I felt but it is for everybody to decide.

Press 1 for English
Press 2 for bypassing introduction
Press 2 for checking status etc.
Press 6 for checking status etc.
Press 1 for having receipt number
Now enter your receipt number:
press 1 to confirm receipt number
Now listen to the case update info, somewhere in the middle of blah-blah
press 3 to report a problem with your case
press 4 for filed several related applications and have received the information on some but not all
(now if you listen a male voice prompting you to hold the call that means the call is going to IOs desk, if it says no IO is available, it will redirect it to NSC, you can hang up and try the next morning)

Hello everybody,
I just got an RFE for I-485...they are asking about marriage certificate and birth certificate...when I applied for I-485, I sent marriage certificate and birth certificate ..why they are asking me again to send?
And can you tell me please what to do with the following.......Uscis sent me too an envelope where to put my documents for RFE.......but the docs dont fit in the small envelope...is it ok if I put my docs in a different and bigger envelope?
My PD is sept 2005 ROW.
If someone faced the same situation please help me with some advice.

You might have got classified as an Electrical Engineer by TWC, and likely Level 4 with 5 years experience as a requirement. If 5 years is really the requirement, and if you are an electrical engineer, or have an EE degree, TWC usually gives this designation. It is difficult to overcome this. Your friends who had lower prevailing wages must have been in different locations or had different occupations, or both. If your lawyer has lots of experience doing PERM, you can probably trust him.

Lawyers suggest renewing H1B as a backup in case 485 is denied. Having one more 140 or 485 is better than that. If he was going to get 2 GCs I would call it greediness, but one person is going to get only one GC and it doesnt howmany applications one person files. Moreover, people who file two applications are paying twice the money which will be used USCIS to increase capactiy. How about that?

I think the System.Windows.Forms is only for Windows Forms not Web Forms. You want something like
