Guys...stop this fighting. There are so many issues which we are not able to fix bcoz we don�t have enough resources/volunteers. So please join the donor forum and help us. Countries have borders and laws for a reason, and each country has the right to protect its borders and uphold the laws. Most of us being of Indian descent, should look into our own house. What is happening to Biharis in Maharashtra...are Biharis not Citizens of India.....we don;t even tolerate people of other states, coming to our state!! and expect US to just keep letting trespassers in?

I am so sorry to hear about your experience at USCIS.....but that was brave of you to fight back!
I think you should write to the Ombudsman...do not let this go, we've got to bring to attention the horrors of dealing with USCIS at every stage of our immigration journey. I think there is a call scheduled at 2:00 pm today with the Ombudsman office and USCIS.
What happened with you is really unacceptable.....we follow thier rules and they are unaware of the rules and announcements they make......if USCIS were a company listed on NYSE they wouldnt survive a day.

2. Advertisement in a USA Local News Paper.
3. An affidavit, issued in India saying name is being changed, signed by the person whose name is being changed.
OR
1. If you are married and have the original marriage certificate AND the certificate was issued from India AND the certificate has the corrected name, then all of the above are not necessary.
I will try to post the format for the ads and the affidavit shortly. Watch this thread.

What exactly is meant by checking the receipt date online and it is 3 months after the date in the paper? All I see on my 485 is a statement that they have received my response to the RFE...I don't see any receipt date or notice dates on the case status online at USCIS.gov

I applied through a consultant for the masters quota and got a reject (I applied on the 4th of april) they have considered it as regular because the package did not contain a course completion letter (i will be graduating this may 4th, so all i could get was just unofficial transcripts.) Now the school agreed to give me a course completion letter.

I will be applying through CmpB tomorrow through masters quota (just got the offer as of today).

First of all, child abusers must not go unpunished.
You are at fault for knowingly hiring an undocumented worker, and you must face the consequences.
If you fail to report this abuse to the authorities, then you must be prepared to face more problems at a later time.
If not you, somebody else will take this matter to the cops, and that person could even be me. Sorry!!!
My advice to you is to talk to an Attorney ASAP, and take this matter to the law enforcement.
I feel sorry for your situation, but you have no choice.

Friends I pledge a $500 donation as soon as the figures reaches 500 less than halfway ... i.e $29,500 and another again once the figure reaches 500 less of $60,000 i.e $59,500. This idea will just put another layer on the GC process. If you are going to make a rule/law to allow this 5 year EAD and new status, why not instead change the LAW to allow higher numbers of yearly GC cards or remove the country based limits.

Eb1->Eb2->Eb3 is correct only from education and experience for the Job point of view but not true from Quota point of view all get 33.33per year.
�The argument that Eb1 is preferred/priority above Eb2 and BE2 is preferred/priority over EB3 is absurd.
The regular yearly BE quota is distributed equally among all three categories that means equal priority for all groups. So then why they should not follow the same distribution for the overflow numbers also?
Said that all BE3 applicants who are eligible should port there PD to EB2, simple. When you know how the system works try to adapt to it.�
We filed our CGs when we don�t know the system, we just trusted out attorneys. If we have to do this CG stuff again most of us will do it differently.
