You as well as I know that we need just handful (probably four) of votes to pass this bill.
The rally is being done to lobby for the support. And if those undecided lawmakers come into our camp then we will win and you will LOSE!
Granted Native Americans were here first but at that time America was just a land inhabited by people and it was not a nation. A nation is defined as having the following characteristics (These are UN definitions)
1. Has space or territory which has internationally recognized .
2. Has people who live there on an ongoing basis.
3. Has economic activity and an organized economy. A country regulates foreign and domestic trade and issues money.
4. Has the power of social engineering, such as education.
5. Has a transportation system for moving goods and people.
6. Has a government which provides public services and police power.
7. Has sovereignty. No other State should have power over the country's territory.
8. Has external recognition. A country has been "voted into the club" by other countries.
So America was never a nation before it became America.
Regarding you second point about Columbus, Christopher Columbus was not here look for a promised land, he and other pioneers were here to find trading opportunities. Get your history straight, India was known for Spices and Gold at that time and the pioneer wanted a piece of it. Now India has nothing to offer, other then a piece of its humongous population.

what makes you state with confidance that the preadjudicated cases will be evaluated. can you please explain the basis of your statement. both my case and my wife's case has been pre-adjudicated and i am waiting for my green card. so do you think we should expect our green card some time next month without any additional followup. i would hate to see my case being sidetracked when some one else with pd and rd much beyond mine is serviced. any thoughts and insights. not trying to offend anyone. just trying to get some information.

Based on USCIS SOP (though a bit outdated) - see below - preadjudicated cases are piled in PD sequence when they wait for visa. Therefore, as your PD is quite high (Sep 04), you should expect a good news in Sept. Best...

Anyways, It seems I might be converting to this idea of flowers, after my previous opposition to the idea. The only flower or a plant I can think of is a Cactus, will that work?

My american employer rejected to file PERM after ads are posted. They were supposed to befiling in EB3 and they said they found candidates so they are not going to file green card...I am totally depressed..This is the true picture in almost all american companies. BEWARE of green card.

This is happening due to bad US immigration policies which of course largely reflects the conflict between american working class/employees and the business owners/employers.
Neither do the senators pass tough bills which can block out illegal immigrants not do they give the existing ones amnesty.
The illegals are stuck in some sort of limbo and it creates some human rights violations such as this one.
With legals, they issue green cards but not in sufficient numbers to satisfy the overall demand because of a popular american notion that jobs are going away to foreign workers.
I think if these lawmakers had done a good job of anticipating demand properly and regulating immigration, it would have been less chaotic.

IV represents the skilled legal immigrant community in general and not immigrants from only one country. Doing this defeats our own cause and divides us. As a matter of fact I know several people who belong to EB2 ROW whose PDs are 2005-2006 and they are still waiting.

Good idea and will atleast take us some where.
Good one, Change to workflow should not be an issue, but we should have IV core support and reasonable to pool of money (not peanuts) to make this a success. I would recommend to run a funding drive, specially for this effort once IV core endorses this effort. In day to day life, Everything begins with $, you get what you pay for and nothing is free.
