But back to Office. I still prefer the Windows version however the Mac version is starting to grow on me. Were it not for MS CRM that I use at work, I could finally be rid of Windows once and for all. But, alas, no dice. Love how CRM works ONLY with IE.
I agree the windows version is way better. But it's not worth running Parallels all the time to get it. The Mac version is good enough. (At work I do run Parallels all the time for other reasons, though, and I therefore I almost exclusively use the Windows version of Office.)

I was thinking could Arn not give out a paid subscription to the forums for a year say when you hit milestones of 250,000 points or so?
Budget is around AUS$800-1000, and I will be getting most of the parts in 3 to 4 months unless there is new tech coming not to long after it?

it depends if you want to go intel or amd. also, you have to consider that the new GPU client is coming eventually, which should help ATI video cards greatly

Thunderbolt will solve this. TB to Gigabit Ethernet adapter will definitely deliver 1Gb/s (800Mb/s due to 8/10b encoding).
Still, my point stands- you need to purchase another adapter, carry it around, and have it dangle off your computer when a simple internal ethernet port would solve the problem.
They should, at the very least, bundle it with a 1k+ computer (like they used to).

You know, I would love an Apple phone as much (or even more) than the next guy, but something occured to me this morning...
All this talk, all this hype. If/When the iPhone comes out, most of you are gonna flame Apple for releasing such a POS. I'm already vommiting at the thought of how many posts will use the overused phrase "underwhelmed."
You will be underwhelmed my friends, I promise.
Also, to stay competitive in the mobile phone hardware market, you've got to release new hardware, with new features, at least every year, if not twice a year. Apple seems to be so slow getting out of the gate on this one that I wonder if they could do that. I mean, look at quickly they updated their notebooks to Core 2 Duo. Oh, that's right, they haven't.
Can Apple produce and continue to innovate a product every 9 months?

I third that...Intel integrated 'thing' will never be in a product I buy (If it's the only GPU in mac and nothing else is there like with MacBook Pro where you can switch between graphics 'device'). :)

This demonstrates that Adobe is a bunch of morons. If they listened to Apple and used xCode they could click one button and produce a universal binary.
Perhaps Adobe writes ****** software that isn't engineered to be platform independant.

Going to NYC for the launch party! My friend reserved me a black 3DS at a gamestop near his college(and a blue one for himself), but after we pick that up, we're going to Nintendo World Store for the launch party(hopefully it will still be bouncing after we pick up our 3DS elsewhere. I'm planning to camp out so my friend and I can get it quickly and move to Nintendo World Store

Umm do not use retail cost of the OS. You need to use the OEM cost. That is 100 bucks.

From version 0.2b on, i have included my own distributed computing app. All of you that are running the widget are secretly donating some CPU time to calculating my WUs. Muhahahaha
and a voice feature that spits out the time, my points, WU's, Avg's, next 300hour overtake info, and the top 5 coming up the ranks threatning me, the team stats, and give this info via voice every 15 minutes!
Version 2.5 of the widget i have running here, i think i'll send it out in about two and a half year, does just that. It only 'speaks' every three hours though, when the stats are updated.

There may come a time where racism is fully banned. Here in the US we have a congressional black caucus in our government, which I feel should not exist. Another problem we have are "black leaders" who in actuality are nothing but disgusting bigots, like al sharpton. As if black people need leaders...you know, because they're all the same...
