My attorney just confirmed that my application sent to USCIS on July-2, received by them on July-2 @ 9:02 AM is not returned.

This means they are accepting it.

My case was sent to Nebraska Service center.

I read some where that filing is allowed to Aug-17, but the new fees will effected on 01-Aug although July filers.

Correct me If I'm wrong.

You can go to USCIS.gov page and look for the press releases.

New fees will apply to the ppl whose labor gets approved after July 31st. For all the guys who are eligible according to the June 12th Visa Bulletin, though they apply till Aug 7th, only old fees applies.

Yes, you get I-94 with 1 year and states AOS Pending...Basically, means, you are allowed to stay till the outcome of your I-485.


Yes, as long as you are working for the same employer. I did the same, I am on H1 right now, but used my AP last year to travel to India.

If your I-94 says AOS Pending, how are you on H1B?
If you enter the US on AP, your I-94 is stamped as "Adjusting Status" or "AOS Pending" and the expiration date on it is 1yr from date of entry (regardless of when the AP itself expires). And for this you don't need an H1B visa stamp in your passport.

With the "AOS Pending" (or equivalent stamp) on your I-94 and passport, you can't be in the country on H1B. You are "Adjusting Status" and legally in the country. Of course, to (continue to) work under this status, you will need an EAD.

1. File AR11 form with USCIS online, by giving the receipt numbers you can change the current address on file. Next day call USCIS 1800 # and confirm the address change.

2. If you are doing by yourself, eFILE EAD & AP - Since it is going to be your first EAD/AP you will have to attach a copy of biographical page of your passport or Driver License (DL is not mandatory) along with other supporting documents.

3. File for AR11 again, when you move again.

4. At the time applying for 485, I assume you have mentioned your current address in G325.

yes i did , but just asking as i am planning for applying hence thinking whether Drivers License required if so obviously addresses should match isnt?

I basically used my bird settings, I think I should probably lower the shutter speed a little, don't know how much though as I don't like blurry shots. I would like to be able to do panning with long shutter times but I'm really bad at it, the few times I've tried everything is blurry.

EDIT: Lens was 300/2.8L IS, my favourite, I went to this practice track mainly to get to use it again as it has been sitting on a shelf for a while, waiting for some summer sports. :)

I had same problem. I was told to re -apply after i called in feb (after 30 days of approval).
Next day I called again, and used s**t word on them. Then they told me that they might not have sent it. Meanwhile I also got status change of case transfer. Few days ago status changed to document sent. I am waiting for the document. Hopefull I get it. At any cost I will not spend a penny on immigration anymore let alone re-applying for AP. I rather party or do charity with that money!

If I look at this link below on # of immigrant visa's approved every year for for each country it shows the total for India (all category EB 1-5) as

Am I reading this right because this certainly is more than the country limit. Also the total # of visa's given seem to be more than the annual limit. I thought there were some 250k visas that were lost, were the limits higher during these years?

Yes. I guess, I read it wrong. I'm surprised that USCIS has outsourced this work to companies like these trusting them blindly. I was of the impression that the attorney used some USCIS website to file for PERM labors. And what kinda stupid co. was this...TESTING against prod database? Scary :eek:

USCIS didn't outsource; at least not to LawLogix. They are independent SW makers, much like TurboTax from Intuit :)

Renewal of passport doesn't invalidate the visas in old passport. You have to carry both the passports while traveling foreign country.

You can get correct information about passport renewal processing details by contacting near by Indian embassy. You can also check if there is same day (or faster renewal for extra fee) renewals.
