Excellent article. I am sure most of us who came in as grad/undergrad students to the US have similar experiences.

Does anyone hv gone thru this??
My wife has similar situation, found some scars and further so many tests (sputums, broncoscopy) done and all were negative. And as a precautionary measure, she took 9 months INH medication.
Meeting with Civil surgeon to fill out the new I693 form again with all the details as requested by USCIS via a RFE. Back in 2007 the civil surgeon just marked as abnormal xray and patient under complaint and care. So, USICS asked for the follow-up details, medication taken and a clearance from civil surgeon stating that there is no active TB and no further evaluation required.
Will keep posted. Any others in similar situation?

Requiring experience in addition to MS degree is considered "normal" for positions in Job Zone V. Whether it's more likely to trigger an audit or not - I doubt anybody will be able to tell you. For that somebody has to have experience of filing two PERMS, almost identical except for the experience requirement. I doubt many people have such an experience
Styrum, thank you for your help. Do you know the situation to apply two perm witht the same company but different position? There is a lot of discusion around and we are really confused.
Thanks.

U.S. Department of Labor has implemented a new integrated online system known as the iCert Portal through which employers can submit applications for permanent labor certification, labor condition applications (LCAs) and other applications for immigration-related DOL programs. In addition, the agency will introduce new editions of Form ETA-9089, the PERM labor certification application, and have already introduced Form ETA-9035, the labor condition application. iCert has already replaced the method of LCA filing for H-1B. The new iCert system begins to accept LCAs as of July 1, 2009. Employer and attorneys as the case may be, can still use the old LCA account but cannot submit new LCA. New LCA has to be filed from iCert.
Following are the new changes which has taken place:
- The new LCA requires writing the SOC (ONET/OES) code and the occupation title for the job.
- The new LCA has a section for basis for the visa classification supported by the application. There are the following categories:
a. New employment;
b. Continuation of previously approved employment without change with the same employer;
c. Change in previously approved employment;
d. New concurrent employment;
e. Change of employer;
f. Amended petition.
- One has to indicate the total number of H-1B/H-1B1 (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) non-immigrant workers.
- The new LCA also requires, in the employer information section, to indicate the Trade name/doing business as (DBA), if applicable, the old LCA does not have this requirement.
- In the new LCA, one is required to write NAICS code.
- There is a new section in the new LCA - Employer point of contact information, which requires to indicate the following: full contacts name; contacts job; contacts address; contacts telephone number; contacts e-mail address.

Current Case Status for Form I485 set to "Document production or Oath Ceremony", does it mean that my case is pre-adjudicated ? Or, does it mean that a finger printing appointment request was issued and I succesfully responded to it? Anybody else in a similar situation?

From this (http://www.cameraquest.com/adapt_olyE1.htm) I take it that the answer to your questions is:
It doesn't detract from the image quality.
It doesn't change the aperture (speed) of the lens.
However, you only get manual focusing, manual exposoure and manual aperture settings. So you don't get any of the fancy features that the camera offers.
Considering that the above site is asking a rather large amount of money for the adapter itself, I'd say that it's probably only worth it if you find some good old manual Nikon lenses [it's no point in getting fancy AF, VR lenses, as either of those features will not work anyways].

I might crop some off the right side to de-center the sun. Excellent scene, though. :)
