The title of the thread is misleading.
IV is already helping. The aim of IV is to eliminate retrogression so that everyone does not have to wait. We also understand that EB3 I is in a much greater mess than anyone else.

Guys,
I applied my EAD Renewal on April 5th. I have receipt with me but my EAD is not approved. Right now I don't have any other option other then EAD. I am little bit worried. Please let me if anyone on the same board. as well pls let me know and what are my options. EAD is going expire on end of July.

So what a wonderful trick,....in April I am current based on the Visa Bulletin, but now their processing has moved backwards to June and that means no luck for all July filers.....what a joke....:(

Can you please update your profile.
And you said "As some of you know...." . Were you trying in these lines before too. Can you direct me to any one of your forums more than 2 months old where we can see what you did before.
Trust me, in the past we knew of some guys who tried to distract the forum attention with proposals of doing somethings in the lines as you have said. Their goal is to distract and divert attention.
Not that we do not trust you, but we expect you have atleast your profile updated.
What do you do, when you come across someone who says I can get you a big job done for you, as I have contacts.. Not blindly trust, right.. We also check he his credentials. I am to some extent doing that, to be frank, not that everyone has profiles here with real information.
I told about you to my friends, and they asked me "Why do we trust him, dont you think he may be a Canadian who is trying to distract these innocent Indians and hence make sure they remain in backlogs"...
I think you and your friends become Paranoid... your each and every post is convincing me that. If you don’t trust anyone including the IV...why don’t you and your great friends lead the effort. It’s always easy to finger point, suspect and criticize others for whatever reason... Please don’t deviate from the original topic. We are here for long time and know what totoro is doing for this community. I request you to refrain from posting anything like this if you are not able to add anything useful to the thread and community. It is doing more harm than good...

My appln with March 2001 cleared BEC in June, so are tons of such applications in my company that cleared BEC with EB2 pD (atleast 600-800 - our company ). Many were stuck from 2001, as my company did not apply for GC bet 2001 Aug - 2004 Oct.
can you please tell me the source of these stats? Per the DOL stats, from March 2005 to March 2007 only 130K total cases were approved:

When I called last week, they wanted me to call back after 30 days, so I called today, it got escalated, the first lady was rude and bluntly said you have to 45 days for reciept and then 90 days after that for EAD so, it could take 4.5 months for renewal.
I called back and it got escalated to a different officer this time, the lady was helpful and mentioned that there are too many delays at Nebraska that are related to EAD, however she took my telephone #, address, A# checked my file and said it is not in the system yet,
she passed a message to the mail room to contact me regd the filing, she told they might get back in 30 days with information.

Is the birth certificate required for dependants too or just the principal applicant...Can someone please clarify.....My PD is not current (EB-3 India Nov 2003)..But hoping it will be current in a few months....So just want to keep all docs ready if the dates are current.....

Total people that have signed up till now is : 154
We have a lot of ground to cover and only 154 members have shown commitment.
The whole retrogression is very depressing if you were to look at numbers and predictions based on the numbers. This is the reason we need to work harder and contribute our time and money for this effort. If we cannot do it this year, then we can easily forget getting a greencard for the next 2 years and more. There will be no immigration bill next year due to presidential election.
This is all the more reason for us to go all out and get the immigration bill passed this year itself. We need all members to help in this effort. We have a strong membership of around 8500 members we can count on for support. However it is sad that only 154 members have thus far contributed in the past 1 week despite all the effort to raise funds. IV is prepared to go all out and get the work done, the question is ARE YOU?

It seems like the major disagreement is on the issue of "granting amnesty" or that sort of act to illegal immigrants. Not sure if this is going to make a difference but approaching congress members with the concerns of legal skilled immigrants might make some difference. So if there happens to be a discussion and in which case more than likely the house will focus on the provisions included in the house version of the immigration bill which primarily focuses on border security etc. may still pass. If that happens there is a slight chance that they may agree on some if not all of the provisions for the legal skilled worker. We can do web fax thing or contact over phone etc....doesn't hurt to try......
