I am in the same boat and need to post the paper in the next couple of days. Can somenoe please help me. I would greatly appreciate your help.
My priority date is Oct 2005 and i applied for i485 (EB2) in July 2007. I am planning on filing i-485 for my wife as a dependant/derivative of my application on August 2, 2010. My i-140 is approved. My case is pending at Texas Service Center. According to the i485 instructions and USCIS website (both revised on 12/03/09), the application has to go to :

Lewisville, TX 75067
My lawyers office informed me that the address to post is:
4141 N. St. Augustine Road
Dallas, TX 75227
I couldnt find this Dallas, TX address on neither the i485 instructions form or the USCIS website. Can someone who filed recently (after 12/03/09) to Texas Service Center confirm the correct address please. It would be of great help since i need to file the papers in the next couple of days.

"contact us" gets so many messages everyday (which are first thoroughly cleared by security), that even standard acknowledgement takes days. I don't think your acknowledgement came after somebody read and understood your priority date or country limit immigration concerns.

No one can predict what the visa bullitin will do in the coming months. My suggestion is that atleast go and get a court marriage done if you can before May2008. It is possible that your PD may become current by May 2008. But no one can say that for sure...

If you are the derivative how can they check your salary with your spouse's LCA requirements. I think you will be fine. Check with your lawyer. If you want you can switch to EAD anytime. But once you lose H1 you cannot getback on H1.
You are missing a point here. I am on H1 through another desi firm. I stayed with them for 3 years and now my extension is coming up.My spouse's PD is May 2006 , his I-140 is approved and luckily he was able to apply for AOS last year during July fiasco. So I was able to apply for AOS as derivative on his 485. But because it is advisable that to maintain non-immigrant status while our AOS is pending I am confused whether to extend my H1 through my employer or use EAD that I got through my spouse. As you all know being able to apply for aos was very lucky opportunity last year and I do not want to mess up my aos application in anyway. I am concerned that if I am not able to respond to RFE in my H1 extension , it will affect my aos if they dig up my past.

Most attorneys are of the view that one can use the AP to travel back in to the US even though his/her H1B visa stamping is delayed/denied

Here is what I would do..
1. Pay off your debts..
2. Collect 6 months of paycheck equivalent money in CDs.
3. Buy life insurance.
4. contribute to 401K if employer offers a match.
5. Start children's education fund (4o3b?)
6. Buy some gold may be 5-10% of savings.
7. Invest in US based large cap consistent dividend yielding stocks > 4% yield (example:- PFE & T).
8. Invest in an index fund with exposure to global economies with low expense ratio.
9. Invest in your health (gym membership or equipment etc..)
10. Buy some real estate if you can afford.
Anything left over from this you should be put in equity tranche of a Synthetic CDO-Squared and hedge the USD-INR fluctuation on the payout of your investments by buying long dated Quanto options maturing at the expiration of your H1 or patience in waiting for GC-which ever comes first.

I have the exact same question for the original poster. Do you know someone or have heard from several people who were scrutinized about intent after leaving the employer upon GC approval ? I know folks who left with in few months and completed naturalization without any issues, but that's an anecdotal evidence and doesn't prove anything. Please let us know your source of information.

After entering US on AP you need to inform you employer. Your status after entering on AP makes you a Parolee ??????????
Inform verbally/New I9 Form? I haven't done this in past. I did used AP 2-3 times in past & haven't informed employer. What employer is going to do if we inform that we are on parolee status? Any USCIS law tells this to do?
Can any lawyer comment on this situation?
If you enter US using your AP even for the same employer you will no longer have your H1B status valid, you an return back to H1B status only after a renewal. After entering US on AP you need to inform you employer. Your status after entering on AP makes you a Parolee.

Dude - Life is too short, eat drink and be merry :p when you become 80 - even if you have 6 peck no one is going to want to look at you :D
(do some workout like fun sports (Gym is for the dedicated ones) to stay active)
Eat drink n be merry is all good. Just that you cant overdo it. O/w you will be on your way out @ 40 or worse yet, will have to deal with diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension etc. in the later part of your life. Key is to eat right and exercise. Cliched I know but I don't see too many people around sticking to this simple rule :)

I did received 3 same paper welcome notices !!!!
Next paper notice received contain GC.
Gurus / Recent GC Awardees:
Can you clarify if the following Sequence of GC Issuance PRocess is correct, once Approval process is going on .
1) Online LUD on Cases "Card Production Ordered" and subsequent Email.
2) Online LUD Change as "Welcome Notices Sent" and Emails.
3) Receiving the Paper WelcomeNotices (Are these Notices are deemed to be I485 approval notices ?? I have not yet received them)
4) Receiving the Cards.
Then What is "ADIT Processing" ? they mentioned in the Welcome Notices sent email.
Any Info or guidance from Peers is highly appreciated . :)

I have just joined this forum and collected my D70 last night. Used for the first time tonight took about 200 photo's with my SB-80DX flash.
I had to use camera on A or S priority with flash set on Auto. Quite a backward step after TTL metering with the F100.
The only Nikon flashes which provide full interaction with the D70 are the SB-800 & SB-600. Only these provide auto zoom head function, ISO from camera and TTL metering.
