Immigrationvoice team has been working on the publicly available USCIS data since its release on USCIS website and we have been discussing this data with top USCIS officials to clear doubts.

The law seems to have changes due to AC21, I don't think we can get any actual data of any one who got his GC after AC21 and has already converted to citizenship.
It would be really great if IV can contact USCIS and get an official guideline on this topic.

There are ppl who moved 2 or 3 months after getting GC and have got their USC

Though I want to feel sorry for you I cannot. Between all the things you have written I was trying to find one small indication to know that you are sorry for what you have done. I did not find one. You are arrogant enough to blame the immigration laws for not permiting you to come to the US, but never really looked into your own flaws for flouting drug laws.
Besides, this is a forum for legal employment based immigrants. You may hardly find any resource here that will help you with what you want!

The government is telling my family I am not an adequate person to form a family with in the U.S. because I was deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana, yet it is granting the 212(d)(3) Waiver for Non-Immigrant Visas to Aliens deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana and who wish to travel to the U.S.. United States Citizens need an Immigrant Visas Waiver available to their Alien Immediate Relatives deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of Marijuana in order to even the scales on both U.S. citizen and Alien immigration privileges concerning Deported Aliens with a Drug-Related Offence of More than 30 Grams of Marijuana.
The way things are now U.S. citizens without a criminal conviction and with Alien Immediate Relatives are being discriminated against by their own government. The needs of deported Aliens with criminal convictions are being placed before their own.
It�s pure hypocrisy and it�s my family�s and my name being placed on the line.
I mean, really, how great can the U.S. be if it�s willing to lose their citizens to aliens like me when they decide to move outside of the United States to join their Immediate and shunned Alien Relatives? The U.S. government�s violation of my family�s civil human rights to liberty, freedom of expression and equality before the law is unwarranted. My U.S. family�s civil liberties to equal protection under the law, to due process and privacy are being discriminated against, they are not receiving fair treatment.

it is not wishful thinking ..dumbo ..it is a good idea but it doesnt / wont have much support as community is divided and happy with its ead.
money makes the mare go in this world ..say if the immigration community was united and if we were to lobby with the builders and car dealers who make contribution to the politicians then lot of bills would have passed behind the scenes ..earliar h1-b was for 6 years only ..how did the extension come ..behind the scenes the business lobby worked secretly.
Yeah right!! buying houses is all hunky-dory when you have all cushy jobs and economy is booming. When economy slows down there will be some people who may lose their jobs with 3000$ mortgages sitting on their head!! And that builder /bank who lobbied for you GC will come knocking on your door asking for payment.
And believe there are defaulters among these highly qualified legal immigrants too!
So again, how did you solve the housing slump problem in the first place???

EB2, India, PD-oct 2003, RD-June 2007, I485- May 1st 2008.
o Nothing materially and noticeably. A minor nuisance out of the way.
- What did you do on the day you received it?
o Was glad but no celebration.
- How did the long wait upset your life?
o Yes for a while. But the entire episode changed my outlook and showed me a different perspective. After being frustrated for a while I realized I should not called myself �skilled� if I cannot navigate the rather simple green card mess. People are successful despite extraordinary physical handicaps and here I was restraining myself under the simple excuse of GC. I realized that I had to and could create oppurtunities for myself, without GC and without being in the US. Fortunately at that very time I got my EAD (June 2007). I gave myself a hard limit of 1 year and if GC did not materialize in a year I would ditch the effort and move to plan B. By april this year I began taking steps towards a change of job. My prospective job title was going were different but I was willing to risk the GC. Now I was wishing I should not get a GC since I would need to shelve plan B for 6 months. And suddenly on May 1st I got the GC, just when I did not want it!
- How did immigrationvoice help you during this long wait?
o Tremendously. When GC was important to me, it gave me a platform where I could act to make a change. I haven�t been active but just contributed a couple of hundred dollars to the cause.

May Visa Bulletin is out. EB3 ROW and Philippines seem to have moved by 1 year.
Even bigger news is that "Other Workers" have become Unavailable for the whole world.
It furthers strengthens the theory that good number of 245i's are EW category and not in the regular EB3 category.
This hypothesis is further supported by the fact that all EB3 dates have been sustained above May 1st for a few months now.

I dont understand why we are hurt when 2 Indian companies were asked to detail how they used the nearly 20000 H1B visas they procured this time. DAMNN!!! IT IS VERY VERY IMP TO KNOW THAT. How many of these H1s are going to be brought here and sold to other companies, how much and WHO pays them etc. Do you realize how many biotech companies couldn't hire people this time just because these monsters gobbled up all the H1s:mad: :mad: H1 is tailormade to boost the american economy and I firmly believe (just as any other country would wisely do) that the first preferance should be for US companies, OK. If the senators are wise, they will and they should, make it sure this time that this never happens in future. Regarding software, I firmly believe, as somebody mentioned earlier, that they also need to start small training centers everywhere. I dont say that there are not good professionals comming in, but believe me, all those so called mca, pgdca etc etc Man!! some of them even dont know the basics of computer!!

I suspect that the sponsors of this bill aren't aware that some children who entered legally also need a break.
It may be worth writing to Dick Durbin and some of the co-sponsors asking for favorable treatment for children who are here legally. Write a letter and send it via Fedex/Priority Mail as this is being considered next week.

If the sale takes place, it probably will be bought by either a Chinese or Indian company. Some dumb anti-immigrationists will try to block legal migration every possible way when most of their companies are either taking jobs overseas or getting sold to foreign companies. Go and find the source of what has destroyed the economy and try to fix it. No foreigner has ruined the economy.

I dont believe Indian govt can help in this...Lets first gather people and we will let you know the next course of action. There are bunch of people in Face book who got struck up in visa delays. I am trying to reach out to them. Its big group...try to get them here. Please contact those people...

Call your senator and explain your situation. I have done so in the past after I lost all papers. I have received drivers license on the basis of only photo copies.
Thanx for your suggestion.. DMV agreed after going up several managers to move the status check date 6 months away for me and my wife. I am planning to renew EAD and use that next time.. the stupidity will be paying the huge EAD fee for my wife just for driver license purpose even though she's not planning to work any time soon.

Mesquite means TEXAS SERVICE CENTER. Enter is exactly as I have here. If you look in the drop down list, there are multiple field offices for Texas but one TEXAS SERVICE CENTER
