Yes, and normally, iPods aren't always on white backgrounds. Last time I checked, my jean pockets were blue :)
I should also add, that the backgrounds are chosen based on what best suits the iPod. Normally Apple displays their iPods on white backgrounds because that's what they look best on, but when they came out with the U2 iPod(which BTW has a modded clickwheel) they have pictures of it on a black background(http://images.apple.com/ipod/u2/gallery/images/u2front20041026.jpg) because that's what it looks best with.
You can't expect people to make tons of unique skins and then not make backgrounds that show them in their best light. A white background wouldn't go with my skin design nearly as well.

As you are aware there is alot going on right now. The administration is talking about CIR.
Lots of bills with small provisions get talked up or introduced. In fact that happens every year if you look back. We keep an eye on what's moving and where the effort is needed. We do not want to waste our resources and effort if something may end up simply being a placeholder or a position statement.
In a nutshell, there will be fax campaign when we are advised (by lawmakers, lobbyists and friendly advocacy groups among others) and we determine that it is needed and will be effective.
Thanks for the response Paskal. However I still do not underststand why IV is not encouraging everyone to send faxes and register their support via the AILA site. As I have understood AILA has been a leader in this effort for immigration {see July 2007}. If you are trying to say that the interests of AILA and IV are not exactly the same - that is to be expected - no 2 organizations can ever be the same - BUT - surely we can come together to form and pursue some strategic interests. I see that with regard to these bills IV and AILA interests meet. Further if readers @ IV send messages via AILA Action Alert then IV resources can be saved to follow the path that you have described above.
Finally, the bill may be a placeholder or position statement, but in the end we need to demonstrate the numbers - highlighting this bill may eventually lead to some worthwhile convergence in the CIR - I think no opportunity need be lost in this process and the more we highlight our position and condition the more visibility we get.

Based on my understanding once 485 is filed, one can only get one year H1b extension it does not matter if one uses EAD/AP.
Q33 If I-140 is approved, 485 pending, still 3 yrs H1-B extension possible?

I am married to a US citizen and I got my I-485 interview on 1/4/08 and IO said we have no problem about the interview. He said if I had my NC cleared I would get the GC in 2 weeks.
I submitted I-485 on 5/11/07 so I assume that my name was forwarded to FBI sometime around May/07, 8 months ago. I made a mistake on my affidavit and I had to resubmit it on Aug/07 (I-485 was fine)
I have a few questions;
1- Since I resubmitted some papers on Aug (not I-485), would my name be forwarded to FBI on Aug or on May 11 (Priority date of I-485 is 5/11/07)?
2- Most of the cases here seem to be about EB GC. Is there anyone who has the same problems with me? Is the procedure different for GC through marriage?
3- When my wife called USCIS, IO told that they cannot do anything before 60 days after the interview. is that true?
I was out of status when I got married so I cannot leave without GC. we want to move to my country but now we are stuck. it is frustrating.
Please someone help...

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has a Business Litigation Committee (BLC) and we met this week and the hot topic of discussion was the recently released Neufeld memo. There is a strong belief that the memo was issued in violation of the Administrative Procedures Act. There is also the belief that the memo violates long-standing precedent and established law. It is believed that there are numerous industry groups as well as individual companies that may be pursuing litigation on this matter. The BLC is in the process of working with the American Immigration Council to create a special section within its clearinghouse service http://www.legalactioncenter.org/litigation-clearinghouse (http://www.h1cap.com/blocked::http://www.legalactioncenter.org/litigation-clearinghouse) specifically dedicated to collecting and posting relevant documents and information on this issue. This will allow all interested parties to be kept up to date on efforts being made to address this policy. We are looking for information regarding actual litigation as well as significant meetings, letters, etc. to USCIS officials as well as Congressional members on this topic. We will then organize the relevant documentation and make it available for access by others. I have read in several forum that one cannot form own company and sponsor H1 through that. The logic is sponsoring H1 is work and you cannot work without H1.
I think it is acceptable logic. Otherwise many would have sponsored H1 for self.

check the latest release on July 17.pdf. I am not sure how many applications are rejected on july 2nd ...If one did not recieve rejected package it means,they are going to honor the application as long as initial evidence is right.
