G-1b is a favorite program to target as politically those guys cannot speak or do anything in return and that makes my point looks more sound and firm. My friend, Mr. Tom Jerry from GutterShield also favors the same program (look at his biography too) and shields my comments. Also, bringing in more unskilled labor helps me having same level of conversation with them instead of feeling left out.

May be we all should focus on STEM education for some time than speaking about idols and proms. May be a geek should deserve the same attention in school like a football player.

Nothing to worry - Receipt Notice(s) will be issued when they will be issued. We can do nothing about it. I'm in the same boat - My application was mailed on Jul 24th and received on Jul 25th. No news so far - My Lawyer says, we should wait another month or so...

Here is the temporary crisis for me.
With out a job, cash is running out. Needs to pay attention to my newborn. getting interviews are tough. hopefully something comes in another 1,2 moths.

Probably USCIS figured they would run into a guy like you at some point and very clearly defined the law. You cannot start a company and do your own H-1 out of it. :D:D:D:D Sorry, better luck next time:D:D:D:D:D

we had a similar issue,
what happens is that when you efile with IRS, They dont have data that your wife had SSN last year, and they have just the ITIN number. thats the reason efile gets rejected. you need to manually file this year and next year it should be OK to efile.
I am not sure which pacakge you are using to Efile, I had similar problem with HR blocks tax cut software.

Since I did my master's here. I think they filed my case under EB1...I need to re-check. If this is the case then how long does it take. Yes I'm an indian.
I doubt if a Masters qualifies for EB1. But if you filed under EB1, then you should be able to file I485 immediately as that category is CURRENT. Check and confirm the category your employers filed and post your question again.

The highly-skilled people, in the U.S. on LEGAL visas. We are doctors, engineers, business leaders, in positions where no American was found for our jobs (as evidenced by the grueling "Labor Certification" process) we pay taxes, contribute to the U.S. through patents, start-ups, community work, and yet we are abused, drowned in red tape and told to wait for up to a decade for a Green Card.

If you change from h1b to EAD you have to file one form (name i forgot) and your employer will send it Immigration office.

Yes, and that issue has been acknowledged by every version of the CIR bill -- EB-1's annual limit was reduced, and EB-3's was increased. Never mind that they also sometimes reduced EB-2's annual limit when STEM exemptions were included in the bill.

I am currently working on EAD. My current EAD expires on September 9th 2008. I have e - filed for the renewal EAD on June 13th. The way Texas center is processing it may take a while befoire i get the renewal EAD. My question is - Can I continue working on EAD with the receipt notice of renewal EAD?

You may not be in position to get exp letters from previous employers due to various reasons e.g., company is closed or they give exp letters in a set format which does not mention what you did there.
In such scenarios Experience letter from X-Colleague or X-Manager from the same company with/under whom you worked will be OK. X-colleague/Manager does not have to be in that company now.
I gave an experience letter to one of my friends who worked in my group in India.
He got his EAD.
Ask the lawyer what kind of language should be there on the exp letter... My friends lawyer gave the language to him.
The person issuing the exp letter has to mention how he knows the applicant and under what capacity you were working,
contact information etc etc.

He can use AP to renter. USCIS would not have approved to give EAD if USCIS determined he was out of status in the first place.
